What are tags? Tags are a type of keywords that allow for very precise grouping of contacts and functions within the system. In WisePlatform, tags can be added to:
- contacts (companies or individuals)
- e-commerce products
- newsletters
- leads / offers / contracts
- invoices
- images
Tags can be added indefinitely, so the same contact/function can belong to multiple groups. Tags may relate to things like a company's industry or location: 'construction', 'Germany', or to the origin of the contact person such as: 'e-commerce buyers', 'newsletter subscribers'.
What are tags used for?
Many parts of WisePlatform utilize customer grouping based on tags.
Targeted Communication
Tags enable targeted communication, as they form the basis for creating marketing and communication target groups. It's worth spending time defining target groups: when the right message is sent to the right target group, communication can yield results.
All data accumulated between a company and its contacts can be tagged and utilized. Segmentation can be based on, for example, a customer's purchase history (what products they have bought, how much money they have spent on purchases) or other behaviors (responses to surveys, event registrations).
After defining the desired target groups and tagging them, specific campaigns, offers, and emails can be targeted to these groups.
Data Organization
Tags can also organize various items like e-commerce products, leads, offers, contracts, and invoices. This often simplifies operations and data searching within the system.
Bringing Content to Websites
Tags can also be used to easily bring information to websites. For example, the "list companies" feature of the content editor in article management utilizes tags. This function can give visibility to sponsors in an article.
